Russell Finn

A veteran of the sport, Russell brings a wealth of experience, a deep passion for boxing, and an unwavering commitment to the development of young athletes. His transition to heading the Eastside Amateur Boxing Team is a natural progression in a lifelong commitment to the craft.

01 — Background

A Legacy of Excellence.

Russell's journey in boxing began at a young age. From the moment he first laced up a pair of gloves, it was clear he had a natural talent. Over the years he honed his skills in the ring, earning numerous titles and accolades — dedication, discipline and strategic prowess made him a formidable opponent and a celebrated champion in the amateur circuit.

But Russell's contributions to boxing extend far beyond his personal achievements. He has always been a mentor at heart, dedicating countless hours to coaching aspiring boxers, sharing his knowledge, and inspiring the next generation of fighters.

We're not just building boxers; we're building character. Boxing teaches discipline, resilience and respect. These are values that transcend the sport and help shape individuals into confident and capable adults.

02 — Vision

For the Future.

Russell's vision for the team is clear: to cultivate a supportive and disciplined environment where young athletes can thrive, both in and out of the ring. The team trains to a comprehensive program balancing rigorous physical conditioning with mental fortitude — a strong mindset is just as important as physical strength.

03 — Inclusion

Welcoming Girls to the Team.

A significant part of Russell's vision is the inclusion of girls in the Eastside Amateur Boxing Team. Recognising the importance of diversity and equal opportunity, Russell is dedicated to ensuring young female athletes have the same access to top-tier training and development as their male counterparts.

Welcoming
Girls to the Team.

We believe in the potential of every athlete, regardless of gender. Boxing is a sport that empowers individuals, and we are excited to welcome girls to our team and support them in their journey to becoming skilled and confident boxers.

04 — Community

A Family That Fights Together.

One of Russell's core beliefs is the power of community. Team-building activities, community outreach, and regular sparring create a close-knit group where every member feels valued and motivated.

We're a family. Every punch thrown, every round fought — it's all done with the support of our teammates. We rise together, and we overcome challenges together.
